The World Scout Jamboree 2027 & Our Fantasy F1 League

Welcome! We are raising funds to help Benji achieve a once-in-a-lifetime dream: representing the UK at the 26th World Scout Jamboree in Poland in 2027.

To make this journey possible, we need to raise £3,800, and we want to have some fun doing it. That’s why we are inviting you to join our Charity Fantasy Formula 1 League. It’s a chance for you to enjoy the thrill of the race season, compete for bragging rights, and directly support a young person’s development.

What is the World Scout Jamboree?

You might be asking, “What exactly is a Jamboree?” Imagine a temporary city that springs up for two weeks, inhabited by more than 50,000 young people from almost every nation on Earth. That is the World Scout Jamboree (WSJ). It is the largest educational event for young people in the world, organized by the World Organization of the Scout Movement (WOSM).

Taking place in Gdańsk, Poland, in the summer of 2027, this isn’t just a camping trip. It is a global festival of culture, peace, and friendship. For a teenager like Benji, it is a rare opportunity to live, eat, and collaborate with peers from cultures entirely different from his own. They swap badges, share meals, and work together on global issues like sustainability and community service.

The theme for the 2027 Jamboree is “Bravely.” It challenges young people to be brave in their friendships, brave in their leadership, and brave in their vision for a better world.

Understanding the Cost: The "Solidarity" Fee

The cost for a UK participant to attend is substantial—£3,800. We know this sounds like a high figure for a scout camp, but there is a very special, heartwarming reason behind it.

The World Scout Jamboree is designed to be accessible to Scouts from every country, not just the wealthy ones. To make this happen, the fees are structured on a tiered system based on a country’s GDP.

As a developed nation, the UK is in the highest tier. A significant portion of Benji’s fee doesn’t just pay for his travel, kit, and food; it goes into a global Solidarity Fund. This fund subsidizes the fees for Scouts from developing nations—countries where a trip like this would otherwise be impossible.

By helping Benji pay his fee, you aren’t just sending one boy from the UK to Poland. You are effectively helping to subsidize a Scout from a lower-income nation to attend alongside him. You are helping to ensure that the “World” in World Scout Jamboree truly means the whole world, creating a diverse melting pot where a Scout from the UK can bond with a Scout from Kenya, Peru, or Nepal.

Join the Race: The Fantasy F1 Event

We didn’t want to just ask for donations; we wanted to give you something exciting in return. If you follow Formula 1—or even if you just like a bit of competition—we would love for you to join our fundraising league.

How it works:

  1. Register your team – visit our team registration page and choose your team. Spend £75,000,000 on 3 drivers and 3 constructors.

  2. Make your Payment – The final part of team registration provides a link for payment. The cost is £25 which covers you for entry to the game for the whole F1 season.

  3. Join in the chat – We have setup a dedicated WhatsApp group to keep a track on the teams performance and also as a place to just talk F1.

  4. Make race predictions before each race for bonus points – To maximise your points in the event you are encouraged to make a predistion for the Pole position and Podium places for each race. Doing so will significantly improve your chances of winning.

It’s a marathon, not a sprint (much like fundraising!), and it adds an extra layer of excitement to every Grand Prix weekend.
